Most people's first exposure to a Church is the Sunday morning worship service.
When you visit Central, what will you find?

THREE WORSHIP SERVICES AT CENTRAL

  • 8:30 a.m. worship happens in Barrows Chapel, our smaller, more intimate worship
space where we enjoy passionate worship for all ages

  • 10:50 a.m. worship happens in the Sanctuary, a beautifully traditional space with
multi-generational worship using music, the arts, and messages that are relevant and
    meaningful for your life.

  • 7:00 p.m. NEW CITY in the Sanctuary
The focus of New City is to create worship experiences that transform lives and mission that
transforms the city. Our strategy is to gather a new worshipping community on Sunday nights
that will be specifically shaped for young adults, but open to anyone who longs to see God
redeem this world we live in. Our dream is to hold our passion for worship and mission together
in a creative tension that blurs the lines of individual faith and social justice. Through Word and
deed, we seek to live into the vision of the new city of God found in Isaiah 61 and Revelation 21.

Both of our morning services are identical in content as time allows. What to wear? You’ll see people in jeans,
flip flops, dresses, shirt and tie and everything in between. Just bring your true self and your openness to
experience God. No dress code required.

CHILDCARE/files/General/Child Care.jpg

A fully staffed infant and toddler nursery is available throughout Sunday morning from 8 a.m. to noon.
Our childcare staff is background checked, trained and excited to meet your child and help them feel welcome in God’s house. Beepers are available for paging parents throughout the morning if needed.

CHURCH IS FOR ALL AGES

We believe that a journey in faith is for all ages. We have a Sunday School hour from 9:30-10:30 am, where learning and discussion groups happen for children, youth, college students, young adults and adults of all experiences.

SERMONS

God has something to say to us about the world we live in, the lives we live, the decisions we face, the families and
friends we care for. We search the scriptures and share stories that are relevant for our lives and equip us to reach
deeply within ourselves, reach out to the world, and reach up to God. Worship is about praising and thanking God for God's unconditional love for us. Our messages and worship are upbeat, positive, and hopeful.
