Central offers special services throughout the year as we recognize those times and seasons which are central to the Christian faith.    More information, such as dates and times, will be posted closer to each service.

    • Advent - For the four Sundays preceding Christmas, we prepare for the arrival of the Messiah with the observance of Advent.  Special services include the "Hanging of the Greens" as we adorn the Sanctuary with decoration/files/General/christmas2.JPGs to remind us of the upcoming celebration.

    • Christmas Eve - Central celebrates the arrival of the Messiah with services throughout the evening on Christmas Eve, including a Midnight Communion and Candlelight service.

    • Ash Wednesday - The Season of Lent begins with Ash Wednesday.  This service opens the contemplation and introspection as we start the journey to the Cross.

    • Palm Sunday - As the beginning of Holy Week, this service remembers Christ's entry into Jerusalem with the Procession of the Palms.

    • Maundy (or Holy) Thursday - On this day, we remember four events:  Jesus' washing of his disciples' feet, the Last Supper, the journey to the garden of Gethsemane, and the betrayal of Jesus by Judas Iscariot.  We worship through a series of stations remembering these events.

    • Good Friday - We mourn as Christ's journey to the Cross is completed.

    • Easter - We celebrate the Resurrection with Brass, Bells, and Choirs.

    • Pentecost - Pentecost Sunday commemorates the birth of Christ's church for all the world.
