Rev. Amy L. Gearhart has been serving as Central's Senior Pastor since 2005 and has over 23 years of
experience serving churches in Illinois, North Carolina and Missouri. Rev. Gearhart is a graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University (BA) and Duke Divinity School (M.Div., magna cum laude). In addition to her ministry in the local church,
Amy has been a leader in the Missouri Annual Conference and Jurisdictional and General conferences. She currently serves on the Ministry Commission of the UMC as well as the Annual Conference Mission Council, St. Paul's Course
of Study faculty, and a PLD Facilitator. Amy was a delegate to the 2008 Jurisdictional and General Conferences.
In the community, Amy serves on the Boards of Directors of Newhouse and Shepherd's Center Central.
In the Missouri Conference, Rev. Gearhart has served the following churches: Webster Hills (1993-1996), Pacific
(1996-1997), Manchester (1997-2003), New Hope Arnold (2003-2005), and Central UMC (2005 to current).
In addition to her passion for ministry in the local church, Amy is the proud parent of Hannah and Chloe Sage.
In her spare time, she is counting cell phone minutes used by her pre-teens, enjoying scrapbooking and card-making, mom-taxiing busy kids to events and practices, spending time with friends and planning her next travels.
