Welcome! You are not only a visitor to our site and our church, but you are also a welcomed guest! Like the guests you welcome in your home, we want to make you feel welcomed, comfortable, and part of the family.
Central UMC is a church where everyone is central and important to God and the work of our church. Each visitor, friend and member has a bundle of unique gifts to offer in ministry and service to God. You might have a gift of seeking and asking the hard questions—this is a place to join a bible study or listen to a sermon and grow in your faith and understanding with others. You might have a gift of music or drama—this is a place to offer your gifts to the One who gave them to you in the first place, through worship and praise. You might have the gift of construction or cooking—this is a place where we send out mission and service teams to help with Katrina recovery and feed the hungry of Kansas City. You might have a gift of compassion---this is a place where we send out and prepare caregivers to be better parents, friends and co-workers.
We are excited to have you as our guest in worship, in bible studies and small groups and service ministries, or whatever you choose to attend.
